Effective May 1, 2017, United Concordia will assume responsibility for administering the TRICARE Dental Program (TDP), replacing the current contract with MetLife. The TDP is available to eligible family members of all active duty uniformed services personnel* and to National Guard/Reserve members and/or their families.
In addition, to support the 1.8 million individuals enrolled in the TDP, United Concordia has created the TDP Dental Network, dedicated solely to the TDP. This network will be effective with the start of the contract on May 1, 2017. All providers participating in United Concordia’s Advantage Plus and/or ADDP network(s) are automatically eligible to treat members enrolled in the TDP.
With the formation of the new TDP Dental Network, United Concordia has also developed the DoD MAC (Maximum Allowable Charge) Schedule which will be applicable to both the Active Duty Dental Program (ADDP) as well as the TRICARE Dental Program (TDP). According to United Concordia, An addendum, including the terms and conditions for the TDP, and the corresponding Maximum Allowable Charge Schedule were mailed to all providers on February 13th. If you have not received the new schedule, it is also now available online through United Concordia’s provider portal.
